The one day workshop will provide insight and understanding to the major roles associated with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, focusing on the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) positions.
​Training will be hands-on so bring your laptop. Topics will include:
​Hands-on labs learning PowerShell and Bash Scripts to automate and mitigate controls.
Skills to provide support to DOD computing environments
RMF automation
Adhering to NISPOM Chapter 8 and DAAPM policies
NIST 800-53a v4
​Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)

eMASS and properly deciphering communications​

Benjamin McGee, CISSP, CEHI, CNDA, MCTS, is the founder, President and CEO of CyberProtex located in Madison, AL. CyberProtex specializes in cyber training, engineering, automated compliance and MSSP.

Mr. McGee is an expert cyber security engineer, educator, cyber innovator, and a dedicated cyber mentor. Mr. McGee holds a Masters of Science in Cyber Security from New York University (NYU) Polytechnic Institute. Prior to founding CyberProtex, Mr. McGee was the Cyber Security Lead for SAIC where he was decorated with many awards including the "Trailblazer" award for cyber security. Mr. McGee was Chief Scientist at Aleta Technologies, Inc., and he has also worked with the U.S. Army Software Engineering Directorate, NASA at the Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC), Raymond James Financial Headquarters, CDXperts, BenefitOne, Geonex-AgraBaymont, and TEKSystems. Mr. McGee was President of the North Alabama Chapter of Information Systems Security Association (NAC-ISSA), from 2010-2015.

Mr. McGee has helped certify over 1,000 Cyber Security professionals in the Tennessee Valley. Mr. McGee is deeply committed to promoting Cyber Security education and helping to create the cyber warriors of the future. He has been an adjunct professor of Cyber Security and Information Assurance at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and as an educator with both Madison City and Huntsville City Schools. Mr. McGee and his family reside in Madison, Alabama, where he is an avid volunteer youth sports coach.
