Summit Speaker Matt Henson
Export Controls & Cyber Compliance
Wednesday, June 5, 2019 4:15 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Increasingly, U.S. regulators are focusing on Contractor failures to identify, control, and track Export Controlled Data in IT networks and systems. Contractors are struggling with basic security controls to properly safeguard sensitive data, such as those delineated in DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST 800-171. Moreover, most Contractors lack the Cyber Compliance capabilities required to satisfy U.S. export regulations, such as the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). This session will explain the export cyber compliance failures, risks, and what the DIB must do to ensure Contrator IT networks and systems do not compromise U.S. foreign policy and national security interests.
