2021 National Cyber Summit
During these uncertain and unprecedented times, the NCS organization has been faced with a very difficult decision regarding our 2020 Summit. For the safety and well-being of our attendees and exhibitors, as well as preserving the unprecedented networking opportunities NCS provides, we have postponed the 2020 Summit until June 8-10, 2021.

Cloud Strategy for Compliance: DFARS, NIST, and ITAR Considerations
Thursday, June 6, 2019 1:15 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Many organizations are working through open issues in their Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M) and closing out items with various security measures. Some are transitioning to cloud-based Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) as a way to meet DFARS 7012, National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) 800-171, and U.S. Export Controls.

Scott Edwards, a national security and compliance speaker, will breakdown common platforms and what they offer in terms of security and compliance features. He will discuss some of the major drivers centered around contractual requirements (DFARS, NIST 800-171, CUI registry, handling sensitive data such as ITAR, etc.) and operational goals (ISO, collaboration across departments, securely sharing information with varying workforces).
