Rodney Visser has 17 years of experience in defensive and offensive cybersecurity. In a cybersecurity role, Rodney has directly supported key organizations on Redstone Arsenal. These organizations include the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) as the Penetration Test Team Lead of the Ground based Midcourse Defense (GMD) element, AMRDEC as the Technical Lead for DIACAP Agent of the Certifying Authority (ACA) Blue Team Assessments, and Threat Systems Management Office (TSMO) as the Threat Computer Network Operations Team Lead and Cyber Enabled Close Access Team Lead (CE-CAT). He also has 10+ years of experience in teaching advanced topics that fall within defensive and offensive cybersecurity for commercial clients, universities, DoD, and was a professor of Cybersecurity at Defense Acquisition University (DAU).
He is currently the cyber technical director at SRC, working for both federal and commercial customers that want to protect themselves from advanced cybersecurity threats and do research / engineering on the offensive side of cybersecurity. Rodney has a wealth of experience and training in network and system security that started in the US Army and has continued to this day supporting the DoD, commercial entities, and academic institutions. Throughout the years, Rodney has offensively tested, accredited, and built thousands of computer networks. He has a BS and MS in Information Technology and is currently working hard at earning his PhD in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Auburn University.
