Dan Bradley is a Director of Cyber Solutions Architecture with Booz Allen Hamilton and served 24 years as a federal civilian. At CISA he was the Zero Trust Initiative Technical Lead and led the lightweight security operations center (SOC) assessment process.
Prior to CISA, Dan served in a variety of roles to assess, design and defend DoD’s most critical systems. He was Technical Director for testing and risk assessment of all DoD Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) from 2008-2012.
Dan was a key security engineer for the Afghan Mission Network, Mission Partner Environment and other efforts from INDOPACOM to Afghanistan to bridge the network divisions between the US and our partners. He also led the operational and technical transformation of a global enterprise SOC in response to a major incident.
Dan is a regular briefer at government cybersecurity conferences, with titles like: “Don’t use a CDS and Avoid this Conference”, “Security Operations: From Busy to Effective”, and “What in the Heck is Zero Trust?” He currently holds the record for over 860 cat pictures in a 20-minute briefing.
He earned a Master of Science in Network Security from Capitol Technology University and holds CISSP, ISSEP, CGRC, GCIA, GCIH, GDSA, GPEN certifications.
